Ahmed Alouddi
Dear Professor Killebrew,
My name is Ahmed Alouddi. I was born in Yemen and came to New York at the age of 4. I started having an interest in technology in 3rd grade when my dad first gave me a flip phone to keep in contact with him when I leave school. I was interested in how the phone works and its components. Later on in 4th grade, I received the iPhone 3. After meddling with the phone, It allowed me to have a better understanding of the capabilities that phones have.
As time went on, I received different phones throughout elementary, middle, and high school. Being experienced with different phones allowed me to fix problems that occurred with the phones whether it’s my phone, a friend’s, or a family member’s phone. Computers are also a great thing that gave me more interest in technology. Computers allowed me to search for anything. I was able to teach myself about the capabilities and problems of phones and computers using the web. The capabilities of technology are what I found interesting and it keeps advancing as time goes on.
The impact I hope to have on the science community is to allow people to understand the capabilities technology has. This will allow science to advance further and solve the many problems of this world such as finding a cure for disorders and diseases. This will also help reduce global warming and other harmful factors to the environment. I hope my writing improves at the end of the semester. I hope my writing to be informative, understandable, and persuasive at the end of the semester. There are some elements in my writing I need to improve such as grammar, punctuation, and doing fewer run-on sentences. I hope to accomplish these goals by reading my work consistently and revising my work. I will also proofread my work before allowing someone else to read it because I will receive my feedback and another person’s feedback.
